Lounge Access Sits on 13 of 40 Tracked Cards — and Almost All of It Is Capped
A review of every card in CredSpy's catalogue finds complimentary lounge access on 13 of 40. The dominant structure is a fixed annual count split into per-quarter caps, with unused visits lost at the quarter boundary.

CredSpy Data Desk — an analysis of lounge terms across the 40 credit cards currently listed on CredSpy.
What we found
13 of 40 cards in our catalogue advertise complimentary lounge access. Reading the domestic terms for each, the recurring pattern is a fixed annual allowance broken into quarterly caps — most commonly eight visits a year at two per quarter, and on lower-tier cards four a year at one per quarter.
The quarterly cap is the binding constraint
An annual headline of eight visits reads as generous. In practice a cardholder taking four trips in a single quarter can use two of them, and the unused allowance from an earlier quarter does not carry forward. For travellers whose trips cluster, the effective allowance is materially lower than the advertised annual number.
Not all of it is airport access
At least one card in the catalogue — the IRCTC RBL Bank Credit Card — provides railway lounge visits rather than airport ones, at eight per year and two per quarter across participating stations. Railway and airport lounges are separate networks, and a card offering one is not offering the other.
Conditions attached
Across the set we reviewed, three qualifications recur often enough to be worth checking on any card before relying on the benefit:
- Domestic and international are separate allowances, and international access often requires activating a membership before travel.
- Guests are usually not included and are charged at the operator's walk-in rate.
- Some programmes re-test a spend condition in the previous quarter before releasing the current quarter's visits.
What it is worth
Priced against typical domestic walk-in rates, four realistically used visits roughly offset a mid-tier annual fee. Two used visits do not. The benefit is worth paying for when the quarterly cap matches an actual travel pattern, and worth ignoring when it does not.
