Terms of use
What CredSpy is, what it is not, how we are paid, and the rules that apply to using the site and the partner programme.

1.Who we are, and what CredSpy is not
CredSpy is an independent credit card comparison service operating in India. We publish card details, score cards against what they return, and link you to the issuer when you want to apply.
We are not a bank, an NBFC, a lender, a broker or a direct selling agent for any issuer. We do not issue cards, do not approve or reject applications, and have no say in what limit you are given. Every one of those decisions belongs to the issuing bank.
Nothing on CredSpy is financial advice. It is information to compare with, and the decision — and its consequences — are yours.
2.Using the site
You may use CredSpy to research, compare and apply for credit cards for your own purposes. You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract in India.
- Do not scrape, mirror or bulk-copy the card data, the scores or the written guides.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or work around the site’s protections, or to reach data that is not yours.
- Do not present CredSpy content as your own, or as an issuer’s official communication.
- Do not use the site to mislead anyone into applying for a product that does not suit them.
3.Card information and how accurate it is
Fees, reward rates, caps, exclusions and eligibility criteria are taken from the issuer’s own published terms. Where an issuer does not publish a figure, we leave the field blank and say so rather than estimating it.
Card terms change, and an issuer is under no obligation to tell us. A rate or a fee shown here may have moved since it was last checked.
Always confirm the fee, the reward rate and the eligibility rules on the bank’s own page before you apply. Where they disagree with us, the bank is right.
4.Scores, rankings and recommendations
A score on CredSpy is an estimate of what a card returns, produced by a published model. It is an opinion derived from stated terms, not a guarantee of what you will earn.
The card finder ranks against the answers you give. Change the answers and the order changes — that is the tool working, not the tool being unreliable.
- The weights and thresholds behind every score are published in full on the How we rank page.
- Commission is not a term in the model. There is no weight set to zero, because there is no weight.
- An eligibility indicator reads the issuer’s published criteria. It is never a probability of approval.
5.How we make money
When someone applies for a card through a CredSpy link and the issuer approves them, we may be paid a referral commission by the issuer or an affiliate network. This costs you nothing — you pay the bank exactly what the bank charges.
That payment is recorded against the click. It is not an input to the score, and a card that pays us nothing can and does outrank one that pays us well.
Where a card page carries a commercial relationship, the page says so.
6.Applying for a card
Pressing Apply takes you to the issuer’s own website or to the issuer’s authorised application flow. You complete the application there, on their systems, under their terms.
We may record that an application began, and the status the issuer later reports, so that a referral can be credited and so you can follow it from your dashboard. We do not see or store what you type on the bank’s form.
Approval, credit limit, interest rate and every fee charged to you are the issuer’s decision alone.
7.Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to defraud the referral programme, or to harm other users.
8.The partner programme
Partners — influencers, affiliates and DSAs — earn a commission on cards approved through their own tracking links. Joining is free and there is no charge at any point.
- Commission is earned only when the issuer approves the applicant. A click, or an application that is later declined, earns nothing.
- KYC must be verified — PAN and a bank account on file — before any payout can be released.
- A minimum balance applies to each withdrawal, and payouts run on a settlement cycle rather than on demand.
- You may not refer yourself, apply through your own link, or generate applications a person did not knowingly make. Doing so voids the commission and can close the account.
- You must not describe yourself as a bank’s agent, promise approval, or state a reward rate a card does not publish.
Where an issuer or network reverses a commission after the fact — a cancelled card, a chargeback, a fraud finding — the corresponding amount is reversed on your account too.
9.Content and intellectual property
The written guides, the scoring model, the comparison tables and the site design belong to CredSpy. Card names, logos and artwork belong to the issuing banks and are shown to identify their products.
You may quote a short extract with a link back. You may not republish a guide, a comparison table or the card dataset.
10.Liability
We work to keep the information here correct and current, but we do not warrant that it is complete, uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, CredSpy is not liable for a loss arising from a decision you made using the site — including a rejected application, a fee you did not expect, or a reward you did not earn. Those follow from the agreement between you and your bank.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11.Links to other sites
CredSpy links out to issuers and to other third parties. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their terms or their handling of your data. Read their policies before you give them anything.
12.Changes, and the law that applies
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised version.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gurugram, Haryana have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
